Dear all,
I have performed astrometry of CP Dra using the image taken at
Kyoto. Using 14 GSC-ACT stars as references, the location is:
R. A. = 10h15m39s.88, Decl. = +73o26'05".4 (J2000.0). It shows good
agreement with the position by A. Henden (10:15:39.85 +73:26:05.2,
vsnet-chat 4105), besides somewhat disagrees with the position by T.
Vanmunster (vsnet-alert 5711, vsnet-campaign-dn 532). The reason
of this disagreement would probably be that Tonny used the USNO-A2.0
coordinates for references, whose epoch (1953.179) is older than
GSC-ACT (1984.099).
The DSS2 R image shows a faint object at this position which was not
catalogued in USNO or such. Its rmag is about 19.5.
Sincerely Yours,
