Re: data deletion
Generally speaking, the VSNET team has a relatively conserative approach
against data deletions (no rejections were made in order to simply make
light curves cleaner). Data deletions have been usually done upon
notifications by the observer. However, in a few cases we may make some
practical judgements, since incorrect observations have not always been
spontaneously corrected by observers (in a very few cases, we don't even
receive a reply to queries to observers). Exclusions of 0.0 or 20.0
magnitudes (or apparent typos something like that) may be done without
special notifications. In some cases when some discussions have revealed
the clear misidentifications, we may delete relevant observations. In the
present case of WY Tri, we have not yet received a request of data deletions
from the observer, so we only deleted the reported outburst detection based
on the ID discussion. If this, or previous, observations need to corrected,
please report necessary corrections to vsnet-obs. Otherwise the original
reports will be used for future analysis.
