Hi, John and all vsnet folks:
This is to ask for some
comments on R Normae. the star was mentioned as one of the changing-period
Miras. But it wasn't specified if the star is showing shorter or longer
periods. I thimk it's the opposite of R Centauri, so its period is
lenghtening. Is this true?
It's very curious to see that
three of the brightest of these stars are near maximum and almost equal in
brightness: R Aql is at 7.1, R Cen at 7.2 and R Nor at 7.3.
Thanks.
Best wishes,
Sebastian.
