Originally, the GCVS classification of "GCAS" included all variable
stars of spectroscopically confirmed to be Be. However, in the recent
GCVS classification scheme, it has been recongnized all Be stars are
intrinsically variable (pulsation, rotation, disk phenomenon etc.),
to which a new category of "BE" is given. Many of old GCVS "GCAS" stars
without striking variability may be reclassified into this class.
