[vsnet-chat 3064] Recurrent Nova in LMC

I was interested to read about a nova that Bill Liller discovered in the LMC in
February 1990, the details of which appeared on IAU Circular No. 4964.  At the
time I didn't get a chance to observe it due to bad weather and a rapid decline,
and I forgot about it ever since!  Nova in LMC No. 2 was reprted to be a
recurrent object as the position was coincident with Nova LMC 1968.  The nova
reached 11th magnitude and then declines very rapidly.

The 1950 coordinates are RA 5h10m41.8s and Dec -71d43m27s.

I am trying to find as much information on the nova as I can, as I have started
to visually monitor it for possible future outbursts.  It is located just south
of the RR Lyrae star, T Men.

If anyone can shed any further light on this nova and whether it was confirmed
as a recurrent object, I would be grateful.
