Hi,
Saw the note regarding the amended superhump period. Oddly enough my
measures on Feb 6 agreed with the earlier period, more or less, but the
interval to similar measures on Feb 7 gave 0.0703. Tonight's data will help
a bit if the clouds keep away.
Tau3 is a much easier name than this RXJ thing. I don't see any real
difference between this appellation and TmzV85 and if it's going to get a
VS designation with the same speed why not us the easier name?
Why aren't the southern CVs performing? But at least I relaxed and spent a
few nights measuring some nice eclipses on Z Cha during the recent SO. It
was beginning to fade at 1300UT Feb 7. Tau 3 has set by then from NZ.
Regards,
Stan
