Dear Prof. Samus,
Do you have an immediate plan to assign the permanent variable star
designation to the optical counterpart of the recently discovered new
X-ray transient, XTE J1859+226? The early assignment of the designation
(this could be the first case in X-ray novae) will help both optical and
X-ray observers.
