Mati Morel gave some instances where he found missing or at least misidentified CoD stars. I'm sure that most of these older catalogs had errors, and it is the detailed work like Mati does that discover the majority of the mistakes. The question I have is, once an error has been found, how do you publish the errata (presumably IBVS or equivalent), and, more importantly, how do you make sure the errata gets associated with the original catalog? Even with IBVS, if you find only one or two errors, it seems hardly worth publishing the results. It would seem reasonable for someone like the ADC to be a 'central repository' for the electronic version of the catalog, and every so often generate an updated version. (They probably do this already; however, I tend to use the CDrom versions of the catalogs and those never change!) Arne
