On new variable designations

Dear Prof. Samus,

   Thank you for the GCVS team for the prompt nomenclature of Nova Sgr 1999
and CV in Peg.  I have one request.  Will it be possible to make some
sort of announcement on the forthcoming new designations?  I would be
happy to forward (or by yourself) to the VSNET consortium so that every
observer, even in case of a non-IAUC subscriber, can consistently and
promptly use the new varianble designations when reporting.  This process
will minimize the formerly inevitable confusion, and will make the best use
of your new quick nomenclature system.  Thank you for your considerations.
