[vsnet-chat 1865] V4444 Sgr

While my next observing run isn't until next week,
a gamma-ray burst took place yesterday and so I was
on the telescope last night. After finishing up
with the GRB, I obtained a BV dataset for V4444 Sgr.
Conditions were marginal: a band of cirrus was
coming in and I had to observe the field at high
airmass to beat the clouds. Nonetheless, posted at

http://ftp.nofs.navy.mil/pub/outgoing/aah/sequence/v4444sgr.dat

is a set of photometry for this *very* crowded field
that should be good at the 3-5percent level down to
V=14. I will reobserve the field during my normal
observing run, but perhaps this current photometry
will help calibrate observers now that the Nova
is below the Tycho sequence. I'm sure Bruce will
derive a real sequence from this field photometry;
good luck finding isolated stars!
