Dear Dr. Kato,
We do have some problem cases in the classification in the namelist;
colons in the type just indicate uncertainty, as you know. I have not checked
the particular cases yet, but I presume there were inconsistencies in
photometric behaviour. Among NLs in the GCVS, most are potential
cataclysmics, but not all. Generally, NL: would mean something with
abrupt brightenings from time to time and/or spectroscopic
peculiarities resembling cataclysmics; NL is most probably a
cataclysmic, but NL: is a classification problem. We appreciate help
in improving classification.
Best regards
Nikolai
