Re: Position of RY Ser?
17h23m6.7s -12o48'07" (vsnet-chat 299)
refers to the original coordinates (from GCVS)
17 23 7.17 -12 48 09.1 (vsnet-alert 1107; vsnet 1339)
refers to the coordinates of the candidate star which I found to vary.
The original article (in Perem. Zvezdy) is a little ambiguous regarding
the exact location of the plotted object.
RY Ser was recently observed to be in outburst on 1998 May 18 by Rod
Stubbings. I wonder whether he may have some comment on its position.
