I have a one night, photometric sequence for N Oph 98 that will be
processed by Bruce Sumner. As of last night, the Nova is about
V B-V V-R R-I
13.10 0.39 0.64 0.22
For those of you intending to observe this nova with CCD or PEP, beware
that there are several companion stars that may be included in your
aperture. As the star gets fainter, the contribution due to the companions
will increase. The three brightest neighbors are about 7arcsec west,
10 arcsec NE, and 4arcsec E. The magnitudes given above have not been
corrected for this potential error.
