Can XY Psc be a supernova?
Using SNMax and the recession velocity of UGC 729 of 12676 km/s,
the expected supernova maxima are:
SN Ia: 17.8
SN II: 19.8
Therefore it is highly unlikely of XY Psc (max 13) being a SN in
UGC 729.
