I for one wouldn't like to see the vsnet mailing list split to accomodate
outburst updates. I like it the way it is. And I certainly wouldn't
fancy seeking out these updates from a web page as Gene suggested (sorry
Gene). Just delete the 'update' message from your list, and wait for
the summary.
I also like the VSNET charts as they are too. Dave McAdam has written a
program which assigns a lettered sequence to the charts, and allows for
zoom in & out and positioning in the chart area. Using this program, it's
easy and convenient to arrange the chart to your own preference. Also the
zoom feature gets rid of a lot of the fainter stars further out from the
variable.
I guess I must be getting old, because I dislike too much change, especially
when I don't see the need for it.
