Is there a subscriber to the VSNET observations that hasn't noticed this?
I keep wondering if one day my ISP will determine that messages coming from
tkato@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp is "junk mail" and block it!  :)

My immediate suggestion would be to create an entirely new mailing list for
this
"summary" information.  That way it would be an individual decision if
subscription
to this information is desirable.  For myself, I would prefer not to get these
summaries via email since they are so easily accessible on the web site.
