Does anyone know the current understanding of V529 Ori, and its
coordinates? During my search of Huruhata's charts, I have noticed
several references give very discordant positions for this suspected
old nova (or sometimes called potentially recurrent).
chart/ref. (J2000.0)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Huruhata (1) not at hand
Huruhata (2) 060006 +2016.6 (old GCVS position?)
Huruhata (3) 055822 +2015.4 (the same as Duerbeck's = GCVS 4.2)
(revision communicated by M. Koshiro)
Downes et al. 055822.3 +201526 (apparently = Duerbeck)

There is at least one more article in the March, 1995 issue of "Sky and
Telescope", which does not seem to agree with any of above. The ADS Abstract
Service does not provide further information, but AltaVista showed (it's
quite impressive that a public search engine surpassed more dedicated
information service at least in this case) there is an article in Astron.
and Astrophys. 326, 629 (1997). The online version of this paper gives
the coordinates of two components of the star "5" as (precessed by me):
component A 055813.96 +201610.0
component B 055814.03 +201609.4
