Bruce Sumner has provided following astrometri results for V3941 Sgr and
the nearby suspect variable. Thank you very much!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not sure if I have interpreted your chart (vsnet-chat 178)
corrrectly, but assuming I have, here are the positions and
magnitudes from USNO A1.0.
Star RA(2000) Dec(2000) Red Blue
RASNZ "A" 18 25 58.796 -29 25 24.89 16.4 17.8
Kato "B" 18 26 04.065 -29 23 40.94 14.5 17.7
The large B-R colour index of +3.2 of candidate "B" is perhaps
suggestive of variablity. The red and the blue plates were both
exposed on the same date, 12 July 1958.
