Dear readers,
Few days ago, there was new book bought to our astrophysical library at
University. Well known Warner's Cataclysimic variable stars. I am realy
happy! It was somethink like second Christmas Eve for me :-)
And there is in historical review interesting information.
Firts observed dwarf nova was U Gem (1856?) by Hind. Then 1896 Miss Louisa
D. Wells discovered photographycaly SS Cyg and the third was T Leo
(Peters). This three stars are members of three subgroups (U Gem, SS Cyg
and SU UMa). And right now are all three stars in outburst!
So we have chance to see all three first discovered stars in one night in
outburst. It's beautiful, isn't it?
So have a fun and look at them
regards
Rudolf
