GP Com possible outburst !!?? Pavol A. Dubovsky also reports that GP Com (helium cataclysmic variable, presumed to be analogous to WZ Sge-type stars in hydrogen-rich systems, is apparently undergoing an outburst (first ever!). COMGP 020507.9479 14.7 DPV 14.40-2V1-14.89 Confirmatory observations are most uegently requested, as well as time-resolved photometry and spectroscopy to detect any short-term modulations! The orbital period is only 0.0323 d and you absolutely need intensive and dense sampling! This star, if the outburst is confirmed, is the top-priority target of the VSNET Collaboration team. If the star is found to be too faint, please turn your telescope to IY UMa. When you send raw data, please remind to send them also to Uemura-san and Ishioka-san, uemura@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp and ishioka@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp) in order to avoid any delay. Good luck to all observers! Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
