[vsnet-campaign 992] V589 Her

V589 Her

   The following reports indicates that V589 Her is undergoing a rare
outburst.  Only two outbursts in 1999 and 2000 have been reported to
VSNET.  Both reached slightly fainter than mag 15, and apparently faded
rather quickly.  The present outburst may be a long-sought superoutburst
(if the object is an SU UMa-type dwarf nova).  Observations are strongly
encouraged.  The object is selected as the timely priority target of
the VSNET Collaboration team!
