Subject: V4641 Sgr: trying for simultaneous observations
Dear colleagues,
in hopes of encouraging simultaneous observations at multiple
wavelengths, I've created a Web site listing all the radio
observations I've heard of, as well as a preliminary schedule
from RXTE. It would be enormously helpful to know of any
upcoming observations, at *any* wavelengths, so I and others
can try to tweak our schedules to match. The 2002 outburst
was impressive and interesting, but we managed to get *no*
simultaneous radio/X-ray/optical/infrared measurements. It
would be a great pity if this were to happen again, since much
of the most interesting physics (e.g., emission mechanisms,
size scales, time delays, etc.) will come from multi-wavelength
comparisons. The Web site is
http://vsnet.aoc.nrao.edu/~mrupen/XRT/V4641Sgr/v4641sgr.shtml
and I would welcome your comments or suggestions.
Many thanks,
Michael Rupen
