[vsnet-campaign-sn 701] SNe information from IAUC 8211

Subject: SNe information from IAUC 8211

In IAUC 8211, the UCB team report the spectra of some SNe taken on
Sept. 28 UT with Keck-I telescope.

SN 2003hf:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 682] (Aug. 30):
> It is probably type II SN, but has very blue continuum for 2 weeks
>after explosion.

It is indeed a type II SN. It is likely a type II-L (linearly
decliner), so the photometry and light curve drawing of this object
should be important.

SN 2003hp:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 682] (Aug. 30):
> It is also probably a SN with a blue continuum, but certain
>classification is uncertain. The recession velocity is measured as
>15000 km/s, which differs from the NED value (6378 km/s).

It was turned out to be a peculiar type Ic SN (SN 1998bw-like, say,
hypernova), about 1 month after maximum.

SN 2003ht:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 683] (Sep. 3):
>SN2003ht 20030118.2 <195:C KAI
>SN2003ht 20030129.2 <190:C KAI
>SN2003ht 20030901.5 185:C KAI
>SN2003ht 20030902.5 185:C KAI
>
># SN 2003ht (2:59:55.17, +24:13:36.8 (J2000.0), offset = 4"E, 5"N) is
># hosted by UGC 2457, a spiral (SAcd) galaxy. The expected maximum
># for typical SN Ia is mag about 18.0.

It is a type II SN in the nebular (late) phase.

SN 2003hw:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 687] (Sep. 12):
>SN2003hw 20030219.2 <190:C KAI
>SN2003hw 20030908.5 183:C KAI
>SN2003hw 20030910.5 183:C KAI
>
># SN 2003hw (3:01:50.02, +35:44:36.4 (J2000.0), offset = 3"E, 2"N) is
># hosted by 2MASX J03014982+3544343, a small galaxy located at 1'
># west-northwest of UGC 2491. The host galaxy is probably a member of
># a cluster Abell 407 (v_r = 13850 km/s), on the other hand UGC 2491
># is a foreground galaxy (v_r = 4875 km/s).

It is a type Ia SN, about 2 months after maximum.

SN 2003ig:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 699] (Sep. 25)
>SN2003ig 20030208.2 <195C KAI
>SN2003ig 20030911.5 <180C KAI
>SN2003ig 20030922.5 184C KAI
>SN2003ig 20030923.5 182C KAI
>
># SN 2003ig (4:09:43.50, +37:00:45.8 (J2000.0), offset = 2"E, 11"N) is
># hosted by UGC 2971, a spiral galaxy near the galactic plane. The
># expected maximum for typical SN Ia is mag about 17.1.

It is a type Ic SN, within a week after maximum.

SN 2003gq:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 662] (Jul. 31):
> The UCB team (Jul. 27) also show that it is type Ia SN near or
>slightly before maximum; they quote that it resembles that of peculiar
>(bright) SN Ia 1991T.

They reobserve it and confirmed the peculiarity. A spectrum
resembles to that of SN 2002cx, which has unusually narrow lines.
