SN2003ij 20030915.0 <195C Bol SN2003ij 20030925.954 183C Bol SN2003ij 20030926.862 178C Bol # SN 2003ij (5:55:41.18, +85:54:21.7 (J2000.0), offset = 4"W, 31"S) is # hosted by UGC 3336, a barred-spiral (SB(s)b) galaxy. There are # several foreground stars surrounding this galaxy. The expected # maximum for typical SN Ia is mag about 16.3. There is a bright star ># east of the galaxy, which may not related with the galaxy. The CfA group took a spectrum of SN 2003ii on Sept. 26.37 UT, which revealed that it is a normal type II SN. The recession velocity of the host galaxy was measured as 13400 km/s.
