Dear SN watchers, IAUC 8049 informed some characters of recent SNe: SN 2003I: In [vsnet-campaign-sn 533] (Jan. 11): >SN2003I 20010326.0 <205:C Puc >SN2003I 20030109.31 176C Puc > ># A host galaxy of SN 2003I (9:27:29.48, +3:55:45.6 (J2000.0), offset ># = 10"E, 1"S) is a small, apparently spiral (S?) galaxy IC 2481. ># The expected maximum for typical SN Ia is mag about 16.0. The CfA team has revealed that it is type Ib SN about one week after maximum. SN 2003H: In [vsnet-campaign-sn 536] (Jan. 14): > IAUC 8047 informed that spectra taken with Baade-6.5m telescope on >Jan. 9 and 10 UT reveal that it is type IIb SN. It resembles SN Ib >1984L before maximum light, but much more red probably due to its >intrinsic color. This red color was indeed due to a significant reddening within the host galaxy.
