Dear SN watchers, I wrote in vsnet-campaign-sn 271: ># The expected maximum for typical SN Ia in UGC 5129 (the host galaxy ># of SN 2001fe) is mag about 15.3. That for UGC 4685 (the host of SN ># 2001ff) is also mag about 15.3. The CfA team revealed that SN 2001fe is of type Ia, near maximum on Nov. 14. They also revealed that SN 2001ff is of type II past maximum. Yamaoka They also revealed that SN 2001fv is of type II a few weeks after maximum and in the plateau phase.
