Dear friends,
I am new to this list and usually I keep to myself
and learn as much as possible from your work and alert
notices. Please excuse me if this is not the right
place to ask for this information.
I have been experimenting taking spectra of stars with
a rainbow optics star spectroscope and a ToUcam webcam.
(attached in a 11" SCT)
I was wondering if:
[1] a spectroscopic follow up of Rho Cas with this equipment
(which allows only low dispersion spectra) would provide
useful data;
[2] is there a good reference on producing useful spectral data
of this kind using equipment similar to mine;
Also planning to try photometry with the web cam attached to a
camera lens ... but that is another story.
Many thanks for any advice,
Best,
Luis Lopes
