MV Lyr: strong short-period oscillations Dear Colleagues, Upon our request for observation during the current very bright state of MV Lyr, we have received a number of observations from Tom Krajci, Maehara-san, and Kyoto team (continued target since the last season). The recent observations confirm the presence of large-amplitude (0.1-0.2 mag) strong spike-like quasi-periodic features (typical time-scales 10-30 min), which remind us of V592 Cas (Kato and Starkey 2002, IBVS 5358), RX J1643.7+3402 (Patterson et al. 2002, PASP 114, 1364), and several other targets followed by the VSNET Collaboration. It may be possible that this signal became stronger as the system brightened to the current exceptional level. There may be a undelying superhump signal, which needs to be verified by further analysis and observations. We encouraged further observations of MV Lyr (before making nightly runs, please refer to the most recent priority target lists in vsnet-campaign-target). Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
