Of course I clearly see your point. As you may know, our team currently
checks all identifications for "old" variable stars, with many mistakes
revealed. I only wished to turn your attention to the fact that, in the
case of V1363 Cyg, we made no mistake. In very many cases, we followed
Downes et al. in our identifications of CVs, but we also were critical on
several occasions.
