Subject: BL Lacertae campaign
Dear collaborators,
a few notes on the results of the first call for BL Lac observations in
July-August 2000.
Up to now 18 observatories have agreed to the campaign (see the map
attached below and check if your position is shown), fairly distributed
in longitude, even if large gaps are evident, e.g. in the Asiatic zone.
If anyone is aware of possible interested observers located in the gaps
(or elsewhere), please try to contact them or let me know their e-mail
addresses.
This is the last message sent to all the list above. Next messages will
be sent to
participating (or interested) people and WEBT officers.
A web site devoted to the campaign is in preparation, containing details
on observations and data reduction. In that site I would like to put a
page containing the e-mail messages relevant to the campaign. If anyone
doesn't wish that his messages are shown there, please let me know.
Obviously, all people providing useful data will be involved in the
publication of the campaign results.
