Dear SN watchers, According to IAUC 7523, T. Pickett and his coleagues has discovered a supernova in the neighbouring galaxy NGC 7290. The reported position is: R.A. = 22h28m26s.62, Decl. = +17o08'51".2 (2000.0), which is 1".5 east of the center of the spiral (SA(r)bc) galaxy NGC 7290. It is very close to the nucleus. The magnitude at discovery (Nov. 21.03) was 175C. The expected maximum of the normal SN Ia is about mag 14.5. The follow-up photomery is encouraged, while it is needed to careful reduction of the backlight of the host galaxy. Sincerely Yours, Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan yamaoka@rc.kyushu-u.ac.jp
