The following recent visual observations of the SDOR type star V766 Cen
indicate it may have commenced to decine. If this fade continues, it will
be the first major variations in this star since 1994/95 when it declined
one magnitude from its usual brightness near 7.1/7.2 in approximately 125
days. It remained near magnitude 8.0 for some 275 days before returning to
maximum in a further 75 days.
