IY UMa = TmzV85 (UGSU+E)

UMAIY 20000418.194 169C Scp
UMAIY 20000420.175 141C Scp
Sequence: Henden, R = V - 0.508*(B-V) - 0.040
Instrument: IRO (0.5-m RCT + AP-8)

This eclipsing SU UMa-type dwarf nova is undergoing its third ever recorded
outburst. The most recently observed one (a supermaximum) started between
2000 Jan. 9 and 13 (cf. vsnet-alert 4027). The interval between the two
brightenings was only 96-103 days.

Time-resolved photometry during the current (normal?) outburst is strongly
recommended.

Clear skies,
Patrick
