Sorry, I didn't think of this before too late (I now
have to rush to make a plane). The UCAC-1 catalog
has been released (see the astrometry department
link on http://vsnet.usno.navy.mil). This covers
the -56 region with unfiltered CCD magnitudes and will
be a good source for a sequence. I've got a copy,
but like I said, no time to list the appropriate
region.
