cf. [vsnet-alert 4371] (fwd) SN2000P spectrum http://vsnet.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/vsnet/Mail/alert4000/msg04371.html Dear SN watchers, The spectrum of SN 2000P taken by P. Colas, Pic du Midi (cf. [vsnet-alert 4371]), reveals that it is of type II in the early phase. The continuum is quite blueish. From the absence of blueshifted H-alpha absorption and the feature of the H-alpha emission, it is possibly of a type IIn, whose nature is not understood well. The continuous photometry and spectroscopy is especially encouraged. >Subject: [vsnet-alert 4371] (fwd) SN2000P spectrum > >Fran輟is Colas (PEAK of MIDI)a carried out a spectrum of the >SN2000P to see with the address below > >http://vsnet.astrosurf.org/buil/us/super2/2000p.html Sincerely Yours, Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan yamaoka@rc.kyushu-u.ac.jp
