Dear all,
An unfiltered CCD image, obtained at CBA Belgium Observatory on Jan 09, 2000 (18h05m UT) under hazy sky conditions, using the 0.35-m f/6.3 telescope, does not reveal any object brighter than mag 18 at the supposed V550 Cyg position, as indicated in D&S 93. The image in D&S 93 is rather crowded, but still I'm confident about the negative id.
