Stars near NGC 4725 with photometry are shown below. These were extracted
from my large file of faint stars and also from my newer lists of stars
superposed on galaxies. Note, however, that I misidentified the superposed
stars in the latter list. These are corrected below as per the Thompson &
Bryan chart for the galaxy. (Since in preparing their charts T&B worked
directly with Harold Corwin, who measured the stars, I presume their IDs
must be correct.)
These few stars will be suitable really only for CCD observers, but are
(slightly) better than nothing. In my main photometric reference file there
are numerous additional stars farther afield but within ~1.5 degrees radius
that could be used for zero-point adjustments of either USNO-A or the GSC.
