The MACHO project has detected 2 candidate microlensing events in
progress towards the Galactic bulge.

A ~2.6 and rising on 31 Jul, expected peak of A ~3.3 near Aug 1.90 UT,
duration 11 +/- 2 days.

V                             ~19.6
R                             ~19.0

A ~3 on 31 Jul, future behavior uncertain.
