[vsnet-alert 3173] V503 Cyg anomalously high outburst frequency

V503 Cyg anomalously high outburst frequency

The SU UMa-type dwarf nova V503 Cyg (previously known as the short
supercycle system, Ts=89d Tn=30d) seems to be undergoing an extremely
enhanced outburst activeity state. Recent observations suggest outbursts
May 25 (Poyner, mv=14.5), Jun. 8 (Poyner, mv=15.3),
Jun. 11 (McKenna, mv=14.4), Jun. 19 (Muyllaert, mv=14.4).
Observations are encouraged to see whether the star has changed its
outburst properties, and whether the known superhump nature has changed.
