G'day all,

The actual URL for those naked-eye & binocular charts of Nova Vel:

The binocular chart will be revised when astrometric nova coordinates 
become available, and the weather improves enough to permit the chart's 
verification.

Fortunately the nova is in a relatively empty part of Vela, so the 
current positional uncertainty is insignificant for naked-eye observers.
