[vsnet-alert 3013] Probable Nova in Vela




The probable nova discovered by Peter Williams would be the
third known nova in Vela - and by far the brightest one. The
two previous ones were CN Vel in 1905 (max 10.2p) and CQ Vel
in 1940 (max 9.0p).
