Marko,
Here is my image of M92. Marko Moilanen's suspect nova is
at the SSW edge of the gx core. North is up and East is left.
This object is not appearant in The Carnegie Atlas of Galaxies.
Telescope: AstroPhysics 180mm f/9.
Camera: Cookbook CB245.
Guiding: ST4 on Vernonscope 94mm f/7.
Images: 30 exposures of 120 sec.
Time of exposures: 1999-09-11 0618-0751 UTC.
I estimate magnitude at 17.9 compared to
GSC2801-2023 at mag 13.1
2034 at mag 13.2
2082 at mag 12.4
however this estimate is suspect due to the glare
of the gx core.
