[vsnet-alert 1911] >>>> BCB #66 now available <<<<

The International Astronomical Union Commission 42 ("Close Binaries")
provides bibliographic information on close binary related topics through
its
                  "Bibliography of Close Binaries (BCB)"

From issue no. 66 on - following a decision of the IAU Commission 42
Organizing Committee - the former publication title:

"Bibliography & Program Notes on Close Binaries (BPN)"

has been changed to BCB, because the "Program Notes" section of this
bibliography has hardly been used any more, and it had turned out impossible to
provide a reasonably complete and objective overview of all close binary
related research and observing programs being currently worldwide under way.

BPN/BCB is a publication appearing periodically on a semi-annual basis since
several decades. All major international astrophysical journals, IAU
Circulars, and some conference proceedings series are being continuously
surveyed by a number of contributing editors. Close binary related articles
are sampled, categorized, and listed to keep researchers informed about
their favourite objects, recent results and developments.
