Dear Colleagues,
After exchanges of e-mails between Haseda (discoverer), Samus (GCVS team)
and Takamizawa, the historical bahavior of Haseda's object on Moscow plates
seems to agree with that of published material on V893 Sco. The attached
comment is from Samus, which may clarify our present understanding on
this object. For the time being until the true identity is proven, we should
call this variable star as V893? Sco (SCOV893? in the VSNET format, as I
initially used) in regular reporting.
Regards,
Taichi Kato

Dear Dr. Kato,
Dr. Kazarovets and Dr. Goranskij are still investigating the problem.
It would be nice to contact Satyvoldiev, but I am afraid I'll not be
able to do it (contacts with Tadjik Republik are not easy to arrange).
My opinion is that Haseda's star IS in fact V893 Sco, but I don't
feel I have sufficient proof.
Best regards
Nikolai
