Hi,
I took a CCD image of the V1251 Cyg area on Jan 12.777 UT using the 25-cm
f/6.3 SCT
and ST-7 CCD at CBA Observatory Belgium, after receiving a similar report.
No object
brighter than mag ~16.5 (unfiltered) was visible at the indicated position.
