It is not yet clear whether V705 Cas is indeed starting to fade.
Below I've noted M. Nakatani's, T. Vanmunster's, A. Diepvens, and Poyner`s
observations of the last few nights. As you can see, perhaps the nova
has become more (stochastically) active.
It is important to establish whether V705 Cas is in fact fading, or
becoming more active. Continued monitoring as frequently as possible
is warranted in either case.
Nakatani Aug 15.546 12.4
Diepvens 15.871 12.2
Vanmunster 15.910 12.4
Diepvens 16.860 12.1
Vanmunster 16.918 12.3
Vanmunster 17.905 12.3
Diepvens 17.907 12.1
Poyner 18.081 12.3
Vanmunster 18.917 12.3
Nakatani 19.585 12.5
We look forward to receiving further reports, and sincerely appreciate
those efforts by all who continue to monitor the novae. Best of luck.
