V705 Cas = Nova Cas 1993 M. Nakatani (VSOLJ; Miyagi, Japan) has suspected in his regular reports of visual variable star observations that Nova Cas 1993 = V705 Cas may have started detectable fading after its long-lasting apparently constant 'plateau' stage since the recovery from the deep dust minimum observed more than a year ago. Since it is well known dark adaptation modifies the sensitivity of the human eye to the emission lines that predominate in the nebular phase of novae, confirmation by photoelectric or spectroscopic observations would be very important. Observations for testing any change of excitation levels would be also interesting. Selected observations by M. Nakatani from vsnet-obs messages (the first column represents the message number): 841:CASV705 950730.546 123 Nts.VSOLJ 911:CASV705 950808.556 122 Nts.VSOLJ 936:CASV705 950815.546 124 Nts.VSOLJ 959:CASV705 950819.585 125 Nts.VSOLJ CCD images with V-magnitudes of this nova can be found in vsnet anonymous ftp (ftp.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp), in /pub/vsnet/Novae/nova_cas93, files ncasim*.gif.
