K. Kuno, Tottori, Japan, reports his discovery of a
possible supernova (mag about 14) at R. A. = 22h00m40s,
Decl. = +17d43'57" (equinox 2000.0), 15" west and 13"
south of the center of NGC 7177, on Aug. 3.56 UT;
with 0.28-m Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector + ST-6 CCD.
