The problem is probably due to the fact that often the positions given by the 
discover are incorrect. Variables discovered on photographic plates often are 
misidentified. Some of the discovery charts are quite confusing. Brian Skiff 
has published a number of IBVS issues which give the correct location of some 
of these stars.
