[vsnet-obs 29662] Re: Dwarf Nova V1062 Cyg Misidentified ?



Dear Colleagues,

My CCD observation from September 8 basically confirms Steves assumption:

V1062 Cyg, September 8, 21.30 UTC, mag < 16.5.

No star is visible at the position shown in Downes and Shara (97).

Thus assuming that this position is correct at least the conclusion must be that the outburst has ended.
Unfortunately I didn't get any images before September 8.

I know many observers use the catalogs by Downes&Shara and Downes,Shara&Webbink as references.
Do you anybody keep an updated list of errors/misidentifications in these catalogs ? This list would be very useful as a supplement to the catalogs.
